We're Ayup

Our vision is a world where everyone can easily find and connect to the support they need to live their best lives.

Our story

We are Ayup (pronounced “ey-up”) a digital platform provider from Yorkshire working across the UK. Since we started out in 2014, we’ve used good design, smart thinking and clever tech to help fix health and social problems.

Over the past 10 years we have had the privilege of working for some great organisations in the public and third sector who are all striving to use tech to make the world a better place. We have amassed a wealth of experience delivering a wide range of digital platforms, from a an online health booking system to a journaling app for the future leaders of the NHS.

A commission from The Royal Borough of Kingston Council marked the beginning of a shift in our focus in 2018. The council were looking to co-design and develop a digital platform to support social prescribing in the borough.

This led to the creation of Connected Kingston, an open-source directory of services created in collaboration with RBK that connects people to resources in their local community. Since then we have continued to develop the platform with other councils and third sector organisations, adding new features and functionality all geared around helping people find the support they need to live their best lives.

Fast forward to 2022 where we made the decision to focus all of our experience, knowledge and skills to concentrate our efforts into the one particular problem space where we believe we can have the most impact.

Ayup Connect is the result of that decision, and we are ready to roll it out in communities across the country!
