Connecting people to the support they need, wherever they look for it
We are Ayup (pronounced “ey-up”) a Tech for Good digital consultancy from Yorkshire working across the UK. Since we started out in 2014, we’ve used good design, smart thinking and clever tech to help fix health and social problems.
Over the past 10 years we have had the privilege of working for some great organisations in the public and third sector who are all striving to use tech to make the world a better place.
We've developed open source booking platforms for charities, journalling apps for the NHS, signposting platforms for local authorities and tech for measuring patient safety in mental health wards.
We bring a deep understanding of how to design, build, and deliver digital solutions that address real-world needs.
Our consultancy services focus on empowering public sector organisations to improve digital services, streamline processes, and deliver better outcomes for the people and communities they serve.
Whether it’s through user-centred design, service transformation, or technical innovation, we provide the expertise and tools to enable success.
User-Centred Design: We put the needs of your users at the heart of every solution, ensuring your services are accessible, inclusive, and impactful.
Service Design: From strategy to implementation, we work with you to rethink and improve how digital services are delivered.
Digital Problem Solving: Our experience in tackling siloed data, outdated systems, and fragmented user journeys means we’re uniquely equipped to help you overcome complex challenges.
Technical Expertise: We bring a wealth of knowledge in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and solution architecture, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
Products: Our digital platform, Ayup Connect, has been developed in collaboration with local councils with a suite of complimentary products for cloud hosting, data insights, platform management and digital screens.
Proven Experience: Our track record includes successful projects with the Wellcome Trust, Comic Relief, NHS Leadership Academy and the councils of Kingston-upon-Thames, Hounslow, Sutton and Hammersmith & Fulham.
Problem-Space Experts: We understand the unique challenges faced by councils, health systems, and community organisations, from siloed teams and data to accessibility barriers.
Collaborative Approach: We work alongside your teams, applying agile, co-design and user-centred principles to deliver tailored solutions that meet your specific needs.
Impact-Driven Results: Whether it’s improving social prescribing, enabling better service referrals, or streamlining internal processes, our solutions deliver tangible benefits.
Our Values: Everything we do is grounded in our core values of caring, being human and the best you can be, whilst enjoying your work and pulling together.
At Ayup, we don’t just deliver digital tools - we collaborate with public and third sector organisations and help them make the most of digital for their organisations, their people and their stakeholders.

We believe successful projects happen when good people work well together.
And we are with you all the way to make your project a success. We recognise and understand that community directory projects are a big deal for communities and the stakeholders involved. Our offer isn't about just granting you a software licence and pointing you towards some training materials. We are in this together, becoming an extension of your team, taking you on a guided approach to set your directory up for success.
Everything we do is grounded in our 5 core values:
One of clients once said of us “these guys really give a sh*t” and we couldn’t have summarised our sentiments better.
We take a human centred approach and help our clients do the same.
We’re kind and supportive to our clients and people. Because relationships matter more than transactions.
We’re all capable of more than we believe. That’s you, our team and the organisations we support.
We make our workplace, workshops and meetings fun places to do serious work.
